Frequently Asked Questions

What Camera Equipment Do You Use?
I use all professional Canon cameras, L Series lenses and gear. My current camera is a 1D Mk III, and I use a 70 - 200mm & a 100-400mm L Series lense, 4GB Extreme IV cards.

What Breeds Of Horses Have Your Photographed?
I have done breeds from Miniature horses to Clydesdales. I have photographed the thoroughbred stallions at Woodlands- Lonhro, Octagonal etc.and the next weekend shoot at an ag show. I photograph all levels of events- pony club, show jumping, national shows, and everything in between. No job is too small, and each customer gets the same quality product.

When I Buy A Print, Can I Use It In Advertising?
Yes. Prints purchased direct from Crazy Horse Designs can be used for all your own personal advertising purposes- websites, advertisements etc in all publications, as long as a photo credit is given. Giving images to sponsors or to other commercial companies for their advertising is not permitted, they must purchase the print themselves at a different rate to use images in their advertising campaigns.

What If I Have Photos Given To Me, Can I Use Them?
No. Images must be purchased directly from Crazy Horse Designs to be used in advertising. Fees will be incurred if these images are used without being accquired directly from CHD. Please contact me if you do have images or a horse that you know I have photographed to view and purchase images.

Do You Supply Images On Disk?
No. Due to copyright and the ease of being able to print off multiple copies of both CD and images from disk I do not provide images this way to clients. Arrangements can be made to associations though for official photographer duties for them to use in future advertising etc- strict usage conditions do apply.

Do You Email Images?
Yes. I email images to publications on a regular basis for usage in advertisements etc. A fee is required for this service. Website size images are supplied at a fee also. High resolution images are NOT supplied to clients via email.

If I Buy A Print, Does That Mean I Own The Copyright To It?

No. Australian laws state that intellectual copyright remains in the ownership of the photographer. This means that if you have a copy of an image you must adhere to the requirements the photograph has given for its use. eg. photo credit must be used. This also means that you cannot make copies of this image and give them out. As long as you have permission to use images (by either purchasing them direct or contacting the photographer) you are free to use them in advertising or on your website etc.
